There are good motorways all the way to Salobreña along the coast from Malaga (the A-7) and through the Lecrin Valley from Granada (the A-44).  However, the motorway from Almeria is not yet complete so this route can be slow.   There are good motorways to Granada from Murcia and Madrid. The entrance to Monte de los Almendros is to the west of Salobreña at La Caleta.  It is well marked with a brown sign from the N-340 coastal highway.
